Eastmain River Airport is a certified, publicly-owned gravel-strip aerodrome serving the Cree Nation of Eastmain on the James Bay coast; Air Creebec operates scheduled service linking Eastmain to Chisasibi, Waskaganish, Wemindji, Val-d'Or and Montreal-Trudeau. Unlike most fly-in-only Nunavik/Cree communities, Eastmain also has gravel road access via a spur road off the James Bay Road (Route de la Baie-James).
