Paulatuk is a remote Inuvialuit hamlet on Darnley Bay in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region, near the 'Smoking Hills' of Franklin Bay and headquarters for Tuktut Nogait National Park; some residents relocated in 1955 to the DEW Line site at nearby Cape Parry before Paulatuk was resettled in the 1960s. The gravel-strip airport is named for Nora Aliqatchialuk Ruben, its first ticket agent (long noted as the only Canadian airport named for a woman), and is served by Aklak Air (operating for Kenn Borek Air) on the Inuvik-Paulatuk-Sachs Harbour-Ulukhaktok milk run.
