Quimper lost its last scheduled airline route (Chalair to Paris-Orly) on 30 November 2023 and has carried only a few hundred passengers a year since, mostly business, air-ambulance, flight-training and Securite Civile 'Dragon 29' firefighting/rescue flights rather than airline traffic (412 in 2024, 697 in 2025, both confirmed year totals well below the 13,454 recorded in the final commercial year of 2023). As of September 2026 the airport's own flight-booking page still lists no scheduled airline option, only private-charter access via OpenFly, confirming the route has not resumed. The field's on-site VOR/DME remains in service but current charts no longer list the 1975-installed CAT I ILS as active; runway 09 retains a PAPI. Customs clearance is limited to May-September with 48-hour prior notice. Planners needing scheduled connections should route via Brest Bretagne, about 83 km north.
