Airport contact
Named for Tepic-born poet Amado Nervo; served by Volaris and Viva Aerobus — Viva added a Tepic-Mexico City (AIFA) domestic route in May 2025, while Volaris launched Tepic-Los Angeles in July 2025 as the airport's first-ever international route, giving the field genuine international/customs status rather than a merely nominal 'Internacional' name. The main runway was extended to roughly 3,100 m as part of a 2022-2025 public-private modernization program. Since Nov 2025 marketing materials have rebranded the field 'Aeropuerto Internacional de Tepic-Riviera Nayarit,' dropping Amado Nervo, but no Diario Oficial decree has formalized the rename and aeronautical records still list Amado Nervo as the legal name.
