New Bight Airport TBI / MYCB

New Bight is Cat Island's central-island air link, serving mostly day-trip and second-home tourism (Mount Alvernia/The Hermitage, the island's beaches and dive sites) via domestic scheduled service to Nassau on Western Air plus private and charter GA traffic that clears in directly from the US through the on-site Customs & Immigration post — it is a documented Port of Entry but has no scheduled international airline service, so it is classed domestic rather than international. As of May 2026 it is complemented by the newly commissioned Arthur's Town International Airport on northern Cat Island, also part of the Renaissance program, which is intended to provide backup access when New Bight is closed. The field itself is currently under major redevelopment (a new 7,000 ft crosswind runway roughly 30 degrees off the existing strip, new terminal and control tower) under the Bahamas government's Family Islands Airports Renaissance Project, targeted for completion around late 2026/early 2027; expect facilities and even the operational runway to differ from legacy data until that work finishes. No fuel (Avgas or Jet A) is available on-site — nearest fuel is Stella Maris, Governor's Harbour/North Eleuthera, or Nassau.
