EN Wikipedia's article is stale and still lists live S7 Airlines and Nordwind Airlines schedules to Moscow, St Petersburg, Sochi, Anapa and Simferopol as if current — they are not; RU Wikipedia (checked directly) states the ban has run continuously since 03:45 on 24 February 2022 to the present. The 79,500 pax figure is the last full pre-closure year (2018) and is now stale rather than current. Aerofuels Group took a 30-year lease of the airport in January 2023 (51% stake, with businessman Ilyas Kalmykov holding the other 49%) under OOO 'Mezhdunarodny Aeroport Lipetsk'. A federal capital-repair contract worth about 1.1 billion rubles for the airfield's aprons, taxiways and helipad was awarded in November 2025 for 2025-2027 work, following a November 2024 design contract, as part of a wider federal support program for Russia's war-grounded southern and central airports (roughly 39 billion rubles committed cumulatively since 2022 across all of them).
