KRR's Rosaviatsiya-imposed wartime restrictions on civil traffic (in force since 24 Feb 2022) were lifted 11 Sep 2025 at 0900 MSK, ending a roughly 3.5-year closure; the first scheduled commercial flight operated 17 Sep 2025. The airport currently runs a restricted daytime-only schedule (see hours field), not H24; a move to round-the-clock operations was targeted for 2026 by operator Aerodinamika but is not confirmed as implemented. The 722,600 figure is the partial-year total for Sep-Dec 2025 across about 24 destinations, not a full-year number, and sits far below the pre-closure baseline (5.0m in 2021, 4.2m in 2018). By mid-April 2026 the airport had logged roughly 1.4m passengers since reopening (about 365k international, 1.06m domestic), and Aerodinamika CEO Alexey Starostin has targeted at least 3.5m for full-year 2026. Short-notice Rosaviatsiya restrictions and closures tied to drone-attack risk have continued through 2026, confirmed as recently as 19, 24-25 and 27-28 Aug 2026, so schedules can shift with little warning. Only one hard-surface runway is currently active for fixed-wing traffic: the primary 05R/23L (3,000m, concrete, reconstructed 2017), which carries ILS CAT II -- this approach category has previously been subject to NOTAM suspension amid the security situation, so confirm currency before use. The former secondary strip (historically listed as 05L/23R, roughly 2,200-2,700m depending on source) is out of service for fixed-wing aircraft as of 2025-2026 -- current Russian sources describe it as under reconstruction / non-operational, with only a daytime helicopter pad functioning on it -- so it is omitted from the runways array pending confirmed reactivation.
