Located about 30 km south-southwest of Radisson in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region; primarily shuttles Hydro-Québec personnel to/from the La Grande hydroelectric complex and hosts scheduled Air Inuit flights linking Kuujjuarapik, Puvirnituq and other Nunavik communities to Montréal-Trudeau. Air Creebec also served the airport until March 2012. Radisson has year-round paved road access via the James Bay Road (Route Billy-Diamond) from Matagami, unlike fly-in-only Nunavik communities.
