  • 04/22 · 3,353 m / 11,000 ft · 46 m wide · Asphalt
Liberia's sole scheduled international gateway, about 56 km from Monrovia at Harbel. The 2016-2019 China Eximbank/Saudi Fund-BADEA-financed rebuild gave it a new terminal (2 jet bridges, approx. 320,000 pax/year design capacity) and a refurbished 3,353 m runway, but traffic remains well under design capacity: RIA management reported 234,396 total passengers for 2023 (98,840 arriving, 91,105 departing, 44,451 transit), close to LCAA's own 228,000-plus baseline. No confirmed 2024 or 2025 total was found, so the earlier 300,000-for-2024 figure was an unconfirmed estimate and has been replaced with this sourced 2023 count. Single runway (04/22) with a VOR (ROB, 113.80 MHz) at the field; no ILS or DME is confirmed in authoritative sources — a couple of flight-sim-oriented data aggregators list a spurious ILS on Rwy 04, uncorroborated by SkyVector's FAA-sourced navaid data — so plan for non-precision approach minima. Served by Ethiopian, Kenya Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Air Côte d'Ivoire, Air Peace, ASKY and Brussels Airlines plus DHL cargo as of 2026, per LAA's own current carrier list; Turkish Airlines previously served ROB but has suspended the route.

Ground handling Available
Menzies Aviation (formerly National Aviation Services / GLS-NAS; locally branded GLS Menzies)
Full passenger, ramp and lost-baggage handling for scheduled carriers at ROB (Ethiopian, Brussels Airlines, Air Cote d'Ivoire, Kenya Airways, Royal Air Maroc, ASKY, Air Peace, per the airport authority's own current airline directory). Originally an exclusive 10-year ground-handling management contract awarded by the Liberia Airport Authority to National Aviation Services (NAS) in March 2022; IATA ISAGO-certified since 2020 with successful renewals through 2022. Agility completed its acquisition of Menzies Aviation on 4 August 2022 and merged it with its NAS subsidiary; the combined entity now trades as Menzies Aviation. Menzies' own network page (menziesaviation.com/our-network/monrovia-rob) confirms Monrovia (ROB) as an active station under a "Ground services" category, and a mid-2026 news report names a "General Manager of GLS Menzies" at RIA, confirming ongoing local operations.

Aircraft fuel Available
Conex Energy Liberia
Into-plane Jet A-1 fuel supplier at Roberts International Airport, operated by Conex Oil & Gas via its Conex Energy Liberia aviation depot at ROB (a second depot serves Spriggs Payne Airfield in Monrovia); company site confirms both depots are fully self-managed for Jet A-1 delivery. Reported as the effective sole jet-fuel supplier to airlines serving Liberia, including during a documented May 2022 regional supply-scarcity episode tied to the Russia-Ukraine crisis. Airlines/operators contact and settle with Conex Energy directly for fuel uplift.

Aviation security Available
Liberia Airport Authority
In-house aviation security at ROB run directly by the Liberia Airport Authority (LAA), per LAA's own official site (liberia-airport-authority.com; note that robertsinternationalairport.com, sometimes cited for this airport, is an unrelated parked/for-sale domain and not LAA's real site), which states: "Security at LAA goes beyond screening passengers. Through continuous surveillance, access control measures, and coordinated response capabilities, we work around the clock to safeguard our terminals, facilities, passengers, and staff." No separate contracted private security/screening company was identified; LAA self-provides via its own security department. A specific 2022 ICAO USOAP audit linkage and a formal Liberia National Police partnership, cited in some secondary summaries, could not be independently confirmed from LAA's current site content.
