Airport contact
Single-runway (833 m asphalt) aerodrome supporting VFR and non-precision IFR approaches (RNP and NDB procedures on RWY 05/23; no ILS, NDB OSA 351 kHz), owned and administered directly by the Commune d'Ouessant. Connected to the mainland only by Finist'Air's Cessna 208B Caravans on a short hop (about 15-20 min) from Brest Bretagne, under a public-service delegation renewed through 2028. Passenger traffic climbed from 3,179 (2023) to 3,858 (2024) to 4,788 in 2025 (UAF/aeroport.fr statistics, +24.1% in 2025 alone), roughly half of it island residents; freight ran about 33 t and mail about 42 t in 2025 (occasionally flown by the fleet's electric Pipistrel Velis Electro), with 490 commercial movements in 2025. Atlantic fog and wind at this exposed island site cause frequent delays or cancellations, so travelers should treat the ferry (Compagnie Océane, from Brest/Le Conquet) as the reliable fallback rather than a backup of last resort.

Finistair
Self-handled, Finistair: in addition to passengers, carries mail, press and general freight to/from the island as part of its public-service mandate, plus emergency medical evacuations and medical-specimen transport; operates a dedicated electric Pipistrel Velis Electro (F-HGAN) alongside its Cessna 208B Caravans for this cargo/medical role, per Finistair's own site and the French Wikipedia entries for Finist'air and for the aerodrome. Airport-specific traffic was 3,179 passengers in 2023 (most recent published aerodrome figure); Finistair's often-cited ~6,000 pax/year and 120t cargo/50t mail figures are company-wide across all its routes, not Ouessant alone.
