Upernavik Airport JUV / BGUK

Airport operator performs ramp and passenger handling at BGUK. Per the official Greenland Airports 'Ground and Passenger Handling Provisions and Prices' (valid from 1 Jan 2026, v.1.2): ramp handling is compulsory for all aircraft unless covered by an SGHA/GHA; passenger handling is offered only on departure and is likewise compulsory unless covered by an SGHA/GHA.

Air Greenland self-handles its own scheduled and government-contract operations at BGUK, which serves as its local helicopter hub. This is self-handling only, not third-party handling offered to other operators.

Fuel services (Jet A-1) are provided by Greenland Airports at all of its airports except BGSF (Kangerlussuaq), at a published standard sale price (~11.74 DKK/L). Availability at this remote STOL field is subject to confirmation; PIC fuelling may require chargeable ARFF readiness per the 2026 provisions. Confirm current availability with the airport before operating.

KNI A/S / Polaroil is Greenland's national fuel importer and distributor (gas oil, petrol, kerosene and jet fuel) and is the likely upstream bulk supplier of Jet A-1 to the region. However, NO published source confirms Polaroil performs into-plane fuelling at BGUK, nor confirms a Polaroil depot specifically in Upernavik (its cited pages do not mention Upernavik). At Greenland's airports, into-plane fuel service is provided by Greenland Airports/Mittarfeqarfiit, which sets the Jet A-1 price. Contact shown is the Polaroil head office in Sisimiut (no published Upernavik-specific or airport into-plane number).
