Verkehrslandeplatz on car-free Juist; tide-independent alternative to ferries. CURRENT scheduled passenger lifeline (June 2026) is flown by Scandinavian Air Charter (SAC) on the Norddeich (EDWS)-Juist route with two Cessna 206 aircraft, multiple times daily per direction. SAC launched mid-July 2025, paused over winter, and resumed scheduled flights on 15 March 2026. The previous regular operator, FLN Frisia-Luftverkehr ('Inselflieger', Britten-Norman Islander) from Norddeich, ceased end-Feb/March 2025 amid falling demand and express-ferry competition. OFD (Ostfriesischer Flugdienst) started a scheduled Emden-Juist service in March 2025 but suspended it due to technical/aircraft availability issues and intends to resume when aircraft are available.

OFD Ostfriesischer Flug-Dienst GmbH
Scheduled-carrier self-handling for its own Emden-Juist flights (15 min sector). OFD took over from FLN Frisia after FLN ended Norddeich-Juist on 28 Feb 2025; OFD began in March 2025, resumed on-request from 8 Sep 2025. Per OFD's own site all Juist flights are currently suspended ('Aktuell sind alle Fluege nach Juist ausgesetzt'). Not a third-party handler for visiting aircraft. · Office Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00
