Quanzhou Jinjiang is the principal international gateway for the Jinjiang/Quanzhou region of southern Fujian, a manufacturing and export hub with a large overseas-Chinese diaspora; Quanzhou is also the historic starting point of the Maritime Silk Road. Xiamen Airlines is the dominant/base carrier and the only lounge operator on site (Priority Pass), with strong Taiwan and Southeast Asia links. Fujian Province falls within China's 240-hour (10-day) visa-free transit zone, but the designated ports of entry/exit for that scheme are Fuzhou Changle and Xiamen Gaoqi international airports (plus the Port of Xiamen) — JJN itself is not a listed transit-visa-free port. Customs, fuelling and ground handling run HS/on-request rather than H24, and the single 2,600m runway has no de-icing capability.
