Airport contact
The Hamptons' airport, and among the most contested in the United States. The town deactivated it in February 2022 and reopened it days later as a private, prior-permission facility under a new FAA identifier (JPX in place of HTO); courts held that this failed the Airport Noise and Capacity Act, and since February 2025 it has again been charted as public-use. It still carries the IATA code HTO while its FAA/ICAO identifier is JPX. Restrictions remain under litigation, so confirm current rules before planning. Deer on and near the airport are a standing wildlife hazard.
