AIP referenceUKDD — Ukraine AIP (State Aviation Service eAIP; publication effectively suspended since the 24 Feb 2022 airspace closure)
Operating hoursClosed to civil aviation since Ukraine's 24 Feb 2022 airspace closure; no scheduled service since. Pre-war hours followed the published flight schedule, not H24. Runway and infrastructure were heavily damaged in a 15 Mar 2022 missile strike and reported completely destroyed in a further attack on 10 Apr 2022 (a Ukrainian Su-25 was also destroyed in its hangar). Current status governed by wartime NOTAM within an active conflict zone; the field was struck again on 5 Apr 2025 while being used to store grounded airline aircraft.
TerminalsOne passenger terminal (original 1970s-era building, roughly 800 pax/hour design capacity); a newer terminal project begun in 2011 was left frozen, with only foundations laid as of 2017. Both non-operational since Feb 2022 and reported damaged in the Mar-Apr 2022 strikes.

Airport contact
East-central Ukraine's regional international gateway, closed to civil traffic since Ukraine's 24 Feb 2022 airspace shutdown at the start of Russia's full-scale invasion; the runway and terminal were heavily damaged in a 15 Mar 2022 missile strike and reported completely destroyed in a further attack on 10 Apr 2022, which also destroyed a Ukrainian Su-25 sheltering in its hangar. The site continued to be used to store grounded Windrose Airlines aircraft after the closure, and on 5 Apr 2025 a Russian strike destroyed five of them on the ground (one A320-200, two A321-200, two ATR 72-600) — a sign the field remains an active military target rather than dormant infrastructure. No confirmed reopening date exists as of Sep 2026, and Dniproavia, the airline that also owns/operates the airport, has not resumed flying. The pax figure above (267,829) is the confirmed 2020 total per Wikipedia's own year-by-year table (+95.9% vs 2019's 136,691, itself down 59.7% from 2018's 299,250) — no 2021 total is published in any located source, and the article's infobox figure is stale at an older 2017 value (276,954), which should be treated as a leftover carry-over rather than a genuine later count. A true 2021 figure could not be traced to a locatable source; if one surfaces via Ukraine's State Aviation Service it should supersede the 2020 figure used here. The city and airport were renamed from 'Dnipropetrovsk' to 'Dnipro' in 2016; some older or legacy records may still carry the pre-2016 'Dnepropetrovsk'/'Dnipropetrovsk' name, but 'Dnipro International Airport' is the airport's current registered name. Actual current traffic is zero, and the operator's own site (dnk.aero) was unreachable at last check.
