Located in the municipality of Temixco, about 16 km SW of Cuernavaca; internationalized by presidential decree in Jan 2009 with dedicated customs/immigration facilities (used for international GA/business-jet clearance on request), but saw no scheduled passenger airline service since TAR ceased flights in Mar 2017, with 2025 traffic (approx. 2,869 pax) limited to general aviation, flight training and charter. Cargo carrier 123 Vuela began cargo-only flights (e.g. to Monterrey) in early 2026 as modernization progressed, and full AFAC commercial-aerodrome certification was targeted for no later than July 2026; Viva Aerobus was announced as launch passenger carrier (Tijuana/Monterrey/Cancun, originally targeted Nov 2025-Jan 2026) and the airport is slated as a 2026 FIFA World Cup alternate venue, but as of the most recent confirmed reporting (Feb 2026) Viva's scheduled passenger flights had still not launched - treat the passenger-service launch as pending, not active.

Grupo Avexpress
Named on the official Cuernavaca airport services page, jointly with 123vuela, as providing ground handling at CVJ: aircraft towing, baggage load/unload, catering, traffic, dispatch, customs clearance (internaciones). Avexpress's own "AVX Ground Handling" division lists CLQ, GDL, MLM, QRO, TIJ, TPQ and UPN as its airports, not CVJ, so the CVJ role is confirmed only by the airport's own listing, not by Avexpress's own materials.

123vuela
Listed alongside Avexpress for the same ground-support bundle (baggage, dispatch, towing) on the airport's official complementary-services page; company's core business is parcel delivery so its actual CVJ scope is unconfirmed.
